This position is for KidsTek, whose mission is to increase the technology literacy at Colorado’s highest need schools by providing tuition-free computer skills classes.
KidsTek is seeking instructional staff for its 2013-2014 school year programs
The Technology Instructor will coordinate and lead and all computer lab activities including lesson preparation and instruction. Programs are held at local schools using their existing computer equipment.
Our high school classes prepare students for potential careers in the technology sector. Classes are graded electives held during the school day. Students earn dual-enrollment credit through a local community college.
Instruction includes leading high school students through the Cisco Academy curriculum in two classes: Cisco IT Essentials and Cisco CCNA Discovery. For more information about course content:

LOCATION: Northeast Denver at High Tech Early College, a DPS High School
HOURS: Classes are held during the school day, Monday-Friday.
Required: Instructor must be able to be approved by Cisco Academy’s regional academic support director by completing and passing the coursework to be taught to the students. Instructor may be able to forgo this requirement by holding current CCNA and CompTIA A+ certifications.
Preferred: Candidates with solid classroom management skills and experience working at the middle school, high school, or community college level. Teaching licensure preferred, but not required. CTE (Career Tech Educator) certification also preferred.
